My First Omega: Vintage Seamaster Cal. 420
I got my first Omega the other day (a vintage Seamaster circa 1957) . Of course, while setting it, the crown falls out! Also, it was represented as a caliber 300, when it is actually a 420, and "runs great!" I am looking for something to start learning watch repair on anyway should I return it or torture it in my workshop? Decisions, decisions! I have a line on a relatively cheap "bumper" movement watch and was wondering what they are like. I've never really seen one before and was wondering if purchasing it would be and exercise in buying an unserviceable paper weight as opposed to a interesting rare vintage.

Hi everyone,I'm asking as I don't know. Is Panerai up there in the high quality food chain?I never flip a watch and don't care about resale value after I have own it. I saw the below model today and it sang to me and my Wife liked it too. Have yet to see it in person or try it on. I just want to know if from a quality perspective .. Is it a good or very good brand..Tks
