Patek Philippe 5130R / WORLDTIME wrist watches news:
Here is one of those interesting Cartier watches that you don't see very often. Out of production for maybe a decade now, this is a rare, true sports watch from the 'fancy watch brand.' Many of you might be familiar with the Must 21 collection from Cartier. The chronograph is probably the most well known of the line. Though the Autoscaph 21 is sportiest version around. An interesting mixture of traditional Cartier elements and a sporty look. Only thing that may prevent people from sporting the Autoscaph today is the size. Medium at best, the little guy is just a hair under 37mm wide. Then again, it is perfect for the modern lady if she likes it.Set in a steel case with a nice polished black stone cabochon in the crown, this is a Cartier watch all the way through. The bezel visually integrates into the sloped flange chapter ring right under the sapphire crystal. The steel on steel look is nice, but makes the dial look pretty small. Which it is. A design experiment if anything. Makes for
I picked up a Hamilton Scott in coral987F 17 jewel with a 1941 serial number. The dial is coral with black enamel roman numeralsand while I've worked miracles with it (it was painted a dark color that easily lifted with cleaner) there's still some pretty unattractive corrosion underneath, and somebody years ago must have scraped away nearly all of the "HAMILTON" on the face. I don't care whether applied numbers or enameleddoes anyone out there in the universe have an old Scott or compatible dial in coral?HamiltonScott.jpg
I own some AP watches now, one of them is Diver. 2 days ago I just bought 5980 bracelet. Im wearing it 2 days straight and today Change to the diver. And i realized that I love this diver more then my new 5980. The feel, the size everything. I think AP is my watch. But I still gonna keep the 5980 because it's Patek , I have to own one.
Please post your experiences regarding the 3186 hour spring problem on earlier models where the hour hand glides instead moving with a click. My watch is definitely out of warranty, I would like to know other's experiences regarding this issue with RSC, seems some have been fixed at no cost and others have had a discount on the service/repair bill but I might be too far out of warranty for any consideration. Thank you!!
If the serial number on an older (1995) Rolex day date 18239 is very faded but still legible should I be concerned? It is very faded but the reputable company I purchased it from read it and has it on all my paper work. I took it to a local ad and he said it was very faded or polished over, but he could read it and gave me an authentication and insurance AppraisalIf I ever send It to Rolex and it appears faded or polished but they can read it will they still service it? Thank you
