- I have only had mine for a few weeks. I like it's looks, it keeps accurate time. However the leather wrist band feels a little weak. Time will tell if it holds up!

Cartier W6920054 wrist watches news:
I am interested in a Vintage Speedmaster - a pre moon ideally. This is for 2 reasons - I want something genuine which from what little I have read means getting something from approx 1965 the Pre-Professional 105.003 Ed White watch. There are other models - the 105.012 and 145.012, but the 105.003 is what I understand to be 'the grail watch'. The second reason is what attracted me to the Speedmaster is its link to Space exploration. I intend to wear the watch on a fairly regular basis - once a fortnight in an office environment so it shouldn't degrade.I have found dealers selling these watches and would like the following help - what should I expect to pay for a pristine example and exactly why / how special / rare are these watches. I have found dealers in London with them for approx ¡ê3,500, while another has one for ¡ê7,000 and doesn't seem to be able to explain why his watch is so much more. I will grant him that his is in exquisite condition, but given part of the reason for my int

Hello everyone! I had a question I needed some input on and figured no one would know better then the group of you. After graduating college I started a career in NYC about 6 months ago. I've been meaning to get a watch since I feel it's unprofessional to look at my cellphone during meetings, but I need help selecting the right one. I recently have become VERY fond for the Omega Speedmaster series, but obviously it's a pretty expensive watch, especially for someone my age. My questions are:1) what is a fair ballpark estimate of the price for a good-not-perfect used standard model Speedmaster?2) since the answer to 1 is likely more than I can afford, what are some other (cheaper) watches that have similar styling? I'm not looking for a fake/replica or even an "homage" necessarily but something that matches some of the features, especially:a) the black-on-black bezel/face;b) the Tachymeter bezel; andc) the chronograph/multi-dial aspect. Thanks for all your help!
Just picked up this mint 39mm SS ROC. Been on the hunt for the past year for an H serial that's complete with box and papers. Finally landed one today. Will send it off to APSC on Monday for a dial swap - to the deep navy dial (just like Fred's gorgeous SS ROC). Can hardly wait to get it back. The new 42mm PO is very nice, should make for a great EDC piece. This will be a serious contender for me personally as I've moved off my new Rolex pieces for now and sticking to my vintage and semi-vintage ones. I think the MSRP for the regular black version on ss bracelet is something like $5,800. If anyone has good dealer connections on Omegas, please PM me.
