Cartier WE9007Z3 wrist watches news:
While I started a few weeks ago, my first watch review is now up on AskMenwatches-dealer here - on the Guepard RetroSwiss watch. This is the newest venue to feature my writing and I want to first thank AskMenwatches-dealer for their gracious inclusion of my thoughts on watches. I'll be writing several AskMenwatches-dealer reviews each month. Their editorial process requires that all watches to be reviewed be confirmed by their editors. So the choice of watches to review is really a joint effort between the two of us.I will tell you a bit about AskMenwatches-dealer if you aren't familiar with it. It is a portal for all things "men." Parts of it are like a higher-brow Maxim magazine, other parts discuss issues related living, health, finance, fashion (where you'll find the watch reviews), and plenty of other topics for men of all interests, ages, and backgrounds. AskMenwatches-dealer is part of IGN Entertainment, which is part of Fox Interactive Media. I've always enjoyed their particula
Hey PalsThis is the continuation of my series of twenty questions While some things remain constant, most change over time. Has your taste and appreciation of watches changed since being on WTF? I know mine have.As some of you may know, I was a total newbie this time in 2004, having only discovered what a bezel was, would you believe. Well, I had no need of such knowledge in my world and circles then. Then too I was perhaps only just discovering sports watches, initially divers as one does. I have changed many watches over the past years as I grew to discover and hopefully learn about watches. One thing that was certain back then was that chronographs had no place in my life and neither did manually-wound watches. All that has changed of course when I decided to post a thread on the Speedmaster back in September of 2006. Knowing nothing about the watch, I had to make a study of it and as a number of you may know, the moment I placed one on my wrist I knew instinctively that the Speedy
First off, I admit I am "rain man" when it comes to putting up pictures. I signed up for photobucket but with my iPad am still having difficulty transferring the photos so sorry you'll have to look it up. The watch in question is the Navmar pilots (naval aircraft tribute watch). I bought it 2years ago on eBay and am quite satisfied with what I paid, considering it has a eta 2824-2 movement( at the time it was $225.00 for 3 of the same watches free shipping). I mainly bought it to gift it to friends and family but have grown quite fond of it myself and kept one of them. The price has gone up to $295.00 plus $6.95 shipping since my purchase but feel it to be still a good deal considering the 2824-2 movement which keeps good time in mines. I'm unsure if it's just standard or elabore? Here's my research after the fact. It's Swiss made, 47mm(large face), 310L SS case( seems a bit lighter compared to 316L due to more nickel make up) dial has a gold embossed Anchor/Wings/Shield in the m
Switzerland just called the AD and said that my Seamaster Professional, that I recently bought, could not be serviced up to Omega specs. They offered a discount on a new one, only $3300! It is being sent back. I have never heard of anything like this, as the guy I bought it from said it kept perfect time for the two years he had it. He never had it serviced. This is the watch I posted earlier with ground off serial numbers.
Evening All,A first world question for you. Up until very recently, I had decided that my first Rolex was to be a SS Sky Dweller. I simply adore the watch, and it has everything I want in a watch. However, as I have to wait to get one, I sat back and took a really serious look at the brand (something I had not before in great depth). In doing so, and like many here, I've become captivated by Rolex. Having been so captured, I have found two further beauties and now face something of a wonderful dilemma. If one of the following three watches was to be your first Rolex for at least 2-3 years before picking up a second (and possibly final watch), which would you get and why?1. 16610LV;2. GMT 1675 based on your birth year, or near as dammit; or3. SS Sky Dweller in any face, but I prefer white.I suspect that many will advise 1. or 2. based on the fact that they are harder to get, and vintage prices are continually rising. Also, 3. will have a production run for a few years before stop
