IWC 3714 wrist watches news:
Hardcore diving watches with moon phase complications? Not too many of those around. Sure the concept seems paradoxical, but when you think about it, there could be a functional component to this power combo of uses. Some divers need to be aware of the tides, and the tides are influenced by moon. There could be some correlation here? Maybe that is a stretch, but when it comes down to it such a small percentage of dive watch owners actually dive. The style of the watch is more an indicator of build strength and the wearer's personality these days. So while most dive watches are up to "the task," few of them are actually called upon for deep duty.Nevertheless the Linde Werdelin Oktopus dive watch has you covered in most any sport watch contingency, and this new version adds an interesting style of moonphase indication to the dial. The movement used is also very interesting. I originally discussed the Linde Werdelin Oktopus watch here (while look at that article check at the bottom for a
If, somewhere out there, there is a harmonious valley in which watch-lovers can meditate, if there is a monastery in which they can discover inner peace – then Cartier’s new Maison de Métiers d’Arts in La Chaux-de-Fonds is likely to be that Shangri-La. It’s a place where one can admire and concentrate on the meticulous effort that makes the dials of haute horology.Cartier has transformed an old barn into a state-of-the-art watchmaking facility, showroom and greeting space for guests. In doing so, they’ve fulfilled the manufacture’s goal of providing a space that blends the company’s rich history with its current innovative watchmaking techniques. 2 OF 15 The ground floor sets the mood in blending the old and the new. The main lobby that leads to the other floors of the facility is a modern struc
Hey Everyone, just managed to find my way back here after a pretty tumultuous year, personally.I lost my job in February of last year, turned 50 in July, got separated in August, and moved to Portland, Oregon in November. The move required that I sell off some beloveds, including my Martin D40 guitar, my "grail" Planet Ocean 45mm, my EL WTF LTD (which I plan on replacing as soon as I can; LOVED that watch) and some other odds and ends. I still have my Oris Williams F1 and my Ball Engineer Master II Aviator. On the latter; apologies to Tom from Atlanta who inquired about buying it!I'm working at a high-end acoustic guitar shop in Portland now, and trying to get on board as a track photographer at Portland International Raceway. Life's a little different now, but it's okay. If I do decide to expand my watch collection, it'll be with lower-end budget brands, at least for the time being. Anyway, I know it's been a while since I posted here, so I thought I'd say hi!
