One of the rarest and most interesting IWC watches of the last few decades is one that a lot of newer IWC clients and fans might not even have heard of: the long out-of-production reference 3705, ceramic cased “Fliegerchronograph” or Pilot’s Chronograph. The Fliegerchronograph was first introduced by IWC in 1994 (a follow-on from an almost completely forgotten hybrid quartz-mechanical watch, the 36 mm “Pilot’s Watch Chronograph,” which debuted at the Dübendorf Airfield, near Zurich, all the way back in 1988). The ceramic cased "Fliegerchronograph Keramik" 3705 was introduced in the same year as the standard stainless steel version, reference 3706. Patek Box Question - why does the interrior go sticky?
Hello,I have a friend who bought a 5010 used and it came complete with box and papers.Unfortunately the Patek coffin box (from papers dated 2002) interror has turned gooey. Very sticky like wet paint and actually comes off in places.Why does this happen?Will Patek replace the box and what is the cost?Seems a bit sad to have such a lovely watch and the box is yucky..piece did come from Singapore so perhaps it is a climate issue.

I wanted to ask something here...Does all of the watches of famous brands,like Omega,Longines, Patek, VC,Tag and others...are all of them made in Switzerland? In other words-are there factories of these brands outside Switzerland,for example,in China?I`m not speaking of parts,but as a whole product.Is there a chance a watch,e.g.Longines to be made outside Switzerland? I`m talking about genuine watches,not replicas.Thanks.

AR Coating on PO8500 - how durable is it?
Recently I saw a FS post that the seller had declared there are scratches on the AR coating when viewed from an angle.I wonder how durable/resilient is the AR outer coating on the PO?I have a habit of rinsing my watches with mild soap and water after wearing. To dry it, I clean it with an old face towel. Will this action be harmful to the AR coating?Thanks!
