- This is a great casual watch. It is inexpensive and stylish. It is a bit light on features but for the money, you cannot go wrong. You might plan on upgrading the band but other than that, it is an outstanding value, in my opinion.

A. Lange & Sohne 385.026 wrist watches news:
“During most of my journey from Bangkok to Calcutta, I was seated at the place of the First Officer, next to the commander in a DC-4 from Thai Airways. The captain explained to me in detail what kind of watch pilots from all nations would actually need. According to him this watch is not on the market.”Those words were penned in 1953 by Samuel Glur, a traveling executive with the Altus-Glycine watch company of Biel, Switzerland. His letter went on to list the requirements for the perfect pilot’s watch for the new era of intercontinental commercial air travel. The watch would be able to track two time zones on a 24-hour scale, giving a pilot access to both his local time as well as a GMT reference, important since GMT is the time standard referred to by air traffic control no matter where a plane is in the world. 1 OF 5 The resulting watch, the fittingly named Glycine Airman, debuted only months later, first presented in the U.S. with a white dial and pen
Hi, guys! Finally, I found a watch which I like, but I can't make a decision. Here it is:DSCF2468.jpgDSCF2469.jpgDSCF2472.jpgDSCF2475.jpgDSCF2477.jpgWhat can you tell about this watch? Is it worth spending 390$ for it?Thank you!
I have one watch that is most definitely magnetized. As the nearest watchmaker is 100+ miles away and I seem to have a hell of a time getting there when he's in the shop, I purchased a "pass through" type demagnetizer.I haven't used it yet, and am hoping that some of you will have some do's and don't for me before I try it.
Since my FrankenSpeedy debacle I would like to own at least one original Omega. So where do you find an original Omega? Well, it found me. Remember, buy the seller. So my best friend says to me I want to sell my Omega, what do you think it is worth?. He bought it brand new in 1968 when he was stationed in Wiesbaden. He has worn it about 40 times and has never had it opened. This is what you would call all original with box and papers. He did change the leather band 25 years ago and even has the receipt for that.If I was to buy it, what should I offer him. It will need a cleaning and overhaul.Sorry some of the pictures rotated when I uploaded them.Thank you for your responses.
Hi. I had time today to photograph another watch. The Proprof. Hope you enjoy.
