Maurice Lacroix mp6428-ps101-11e wrist watches news:
My small seconds arrived yesterday. She's a beaut! Perfect size for me. Nice heafty wieght. I put it thru a quick 24 hr test run, I know but I couldn't wait to get this baby on my wrist! Seems to be running fine. Got the bracelet and rubber strap sized up and it feels great on the wrist. Heres a few pics of the unboxing and a few shots of the watch. My photo skills are weak at best. I'm working on it. My cameras not that great either, but here it is. It came in a huge 10x6x6" outer box from "Friends of Oris" in Australia. Very nice box and papers ...with the extra rubber strap I ordered The cool diver helmet case ..And there she is in all her glory.. ..Say hi to the camera.. .. So get used to seeing this one on the WRUW on the General discussion forum for awhile. I'll update some pics with wrist shots with the bracelet and some lume shots.

Hi, I'm new to this forum and automatic watches in general so I have a very newbie question to ask you guys. How many hours per day do you generally have to wear an automatic watch to keep it automatically wound? The reason I'm asking is I'm intrigued by automatic watches but am concerned that I'm not active enough during a day to keep it properly wound. I work at a desk all day and drive to and from work so there's not much time that I spend walking around. Plus when I exercise I normally don't like to wear a watch and, I'm not sure if this is true or not but, I hear it may be bad for a mechanical watch also. Thanks a lot and your help is greatly appreciated!
Hello everyone! I know it's a long shot but could anyone identify the watch on these pictures? I took screenshots while watching the movie Shallow Hal. That's why the quality is so poor. :(9.jpg 8.jpg 2.jpg 1.jpgIf you can't really say what it is, please tell me at least what it looks like, or reminds you of. That will also do. :) Thank you!
I bought a Patek 5056P in 2005. Wore it quite a bit in 2005/2006, then it pretty much was in the safe all the way to today. The watch is in excellent condition, some minor wear from every-day use but no hard scratches or dings. I believe with very minimal polishing it can look like new. It's about 11 years now and though there's nothing wrong with the watch, should I go ahead and have it serviced by Patek? I have not had it on a watch winder (which I should have, I'm now learning) so I'm wondering if its a good idea to just go ahead and do the servicing anyway.Much appreciated. Thanks.Colin
