Cartier Cartier 27207 wrist watches news:
I fell in love reading the post "Applied vs Non-applied." SLRdude posted a photo of the 2254 America's Cup Seamaster. It was love at first sight. Gotta have! Gotta have! Gotta have!Does any one know of one for sale? (Mid-size)? I've an aching in my loins (Whatever that means?) Truly, if i find and buy one, my wife will kill me. But yea, I will die a happy man. I'm sure you know the feeling.KarlB-"It actually DID exist, but it was discontinued a couple of years ago.Originally a limited edition with America's Cup printed on the dial, it was so popular that Omega released a non LE version of it.It was a 2254 with applied markers and a WG bezel. They still show up on sales corners every now and then."
What origianlly were the requirements for the first pocket watches to be a "railroad approved" watch?Someone is trying to tell me it was the jewels and that the more jewels the more accurate the watch. He also said they required a minimum of a 21 jeweled movement for a watch to be considered for railroad approval.I don't think this is correct, but i'd like an informed answer to pass on to him. Thanks in advance.
Hi,I picked up a new 26320 from an AP boutique this weekend, and I've noticed that the chronograph seconds hand is running faster than the running seconds at 6 o'clock. After 30 minutes of running the chronograph, the chrono hand has gained 5 seconds over the running seconds hand. This time was gained evenly over the 30 minute period.Has anyone seen this before? Thanks!
Hi,I bought this Speedmaster cal 861 as it was a little different to most I see. It's a cal 861 from 1969 and has the plain seamonster caseback engraved 145.022-69. I've recently noticed that it has the pie-pan dial normally assoviated with the cal 321 but it has a painted Omega logo on the dial and not the applied gold logo as with most pie-pans on the cal 321 Speedmasters. With the 40th anniversary of the moon landings next year, I was wondering how rare this watch is and if is more or less valuable than the 321s or 861s with the NASA qualified casebacks.Any info or links to other sources would be much appreciated. Thanks - Simon
