I thought I might start posting some of the newsletter items I get sent from Oris from time to time. It's just marketing copy, so take from it what you will :).There is always a story behind every Oris, a reason why it became a watch. With the Oris Grand Prix ¡¯70 Limited Edition, there are two stories! In 1970 Oris launched its first motor sports watch, and its first chronograph: the famous Chronoris. Almost 40 years later, the original Chronoris and the fascinating Formula One season of 1970 are the inspirations behind this new Oris limited edition. The 1970 Formula One season was one of the most dramatic in the sport¡¯s history. The focus was pure racing. Drivers took risks on the tracks with breathtaking, astounding, and sometimes tragic results. Have anyone tried to put a strap on 15450ST?Is the plot same with 15300 or 15400?Or a lady RO strap plot is suitable? Many thanks.
Hello all, Has anyone had any experience with poor quality control from Omega or just me. I have a Omega PO that I thought the bezel didn't line up but as it turned out the hole for the stim & crown was drilled 4 degrees off. I know that because the Omega service center in clearwater FL descovered it. so the dial & the bezel are not centered. And no Omega is not going to repair it even though they admitted it somehow shipped through QC. See pic's below. Thanks,Gary
I saw a 5960/1A review when it was announced and I knew I immediately liked it. Well, then the enabling pics happened (thanks mikeceee, jenniferjanef and raclaims), and I knew it was time to try one on. I did so on Friday and I pulled the trigger today. For me, someone who likes exclusively sportier watches, it's perfect (also have a 5167). I just wish PP made more sportier watches....or wait, maybe I don't :)I'll post the gratuitous pics when I get it in a couple of days, but I know you'd appreciate my excitement. I learn a ton from this site -- the knowledge I receive from here beats anywhere else by far -- we're all pretty lucky. Thanks to all!
