Cartier Cartier 10921 wrist watches news:
Neither Casio nor its ProTrek (formerly Pathfinder) line of outdoor watches need any introduction. On watches-dealer we've listed these timepieces as among the ultimate survival watches as well as some of the highest-value watches when it comes to bang for your buck. Casio continues to raise the bar with more features and designs each year. ProTrek watches should be a staple of any watch diet. Up for grabs is a Casio ProTrek PRG550 (specifically a PRG550-1A1). In a stealthy black case, this analog/digital ProTrek model has a Tough Solar movement, triple sensor array (compass, barometer, and altimeter), and a host of other features. I'm looking at purchasing the 2254.50. Any suggestions for a good online retailer? I did a search on froogle, several came up, but not sure if I can trust them.
Had a opportunity to purchase a brand new PO Liquidmetal. I was ready to pull the trigger until something caught my eye..A lint or speck of dust caught my eye on on of the markers, on a closer examination with a help of loupe (Yes, I brought one along). It is a tiny dent on the edge of the 10'o clock marker. My heart just sank...I asked the sales person to inspect my findings, he agreed with me on the imperfection. At this point, he was trying to use the sale tactics on rarity of the PO LM and assured me it can be rectified with the service centre. NO DISCOUNT even with me pointing out the QC problem. He also mentioned that ceramic dial must need to be replaced or it could be just the marker. He cannot be 100% sure.Should I pull the trigger (purchase and get it fixed) or pass on this?
So I'll be going to NYC in May for a short business trip and would like go watch browsing but won't have enough time to be bouncing all over the city. The closest Patek AD at home is 1hr 10min away and driving 2hrs to see only a few of the watches on my hit list is too low yield to motivate me. Specifically I'm interested in looking at the 5167 with the tropical band and SS bracelet, the 5167R, the 5711 (both blue & white dials), 5712, 5296R, 5205R, 5146R. Yes the last two are long shots but hey, might as well take a look, right? Based on what I found, it looks like the best place would be on 5th ave- specifically Tiffany's Patek Salon, Wempe, and Tourneau (yes I know how awful it is)- out of the 3, which have the biggest selection? I'm not looking to buy on the spot, I just want to try them on and think about what to do next. You Patek guys are nothing but trouble, you guys are making me rethink my watch collection!
Hi TRFers. I'm in the midst of a quandary, and I'm hoping for some solid advice:I've had my Sub 114060 for almost a year now, and while I have been fully enjoying my time with it, lately I find myself craving something a bit more unique. Ive always been drawn to the BLNR, and I'm on the list for one at a local AD, which I've been told should be available with in the next 2-3 months. Thing is adding it in addition to my 114060 is definitely not an option. I would have to trade the Sub, plus cash to make the switch. I just don't know if I'd regret it down the road. Arguments for: date/gmt function, I love the unique black/blue bezel, I've grown to like the pcl's so much that I think I actually prefer them to the bcl's, although the glidelock is great I dont use it much (and never change it more than 5mm), I've tried the BLNR on once before and preferred the fit/case dimensions to the Sub, its more unique...and probably the main reason (although I told myself when I got the Sub that I
