Help ID'ing this Longines, please!
First, what I know about this watch. It was given to my father sometime in the late 1950s, possibly as a college graduation gift. It sat in a dresser drawer for many years until about twenty years ago when he gave it to me when I expressed interest in it and said I'd have it serviced, which I did and I have worn it intermittantly since. A few months ago, I had another jeweler service it and he wrote down some info for me. The serial number is 10513675, which various websites show as 1957, so it fits chronologically where I thought it would. It is a 17 jewel, Longines 19AS movement. I don't believe the gold tone expansion bracelet is original, and I am also not sure about the acrylic crystal. It measures approximately 35mm across, including the semi-recessed crown. The only words on the front are "Longines" and "Automatic". The face has numerals at 12, 3, 6 & 9 with bars at the other positions. hello,anyone know when they started using the black wood PP box. I seen some 5035 for example that had the reddish wooden box and some 5035 with the newer black box. Just when to know when they started using the black box???

AQUANAUT COMFORT 5167 vs 5164
Hey mates - I'm looking at adding a 5164 to my collection after giving my 5167 away and despite the larger size, was interested in comments regarding the comfort level of the 5164. Is it as comfortable as the 5167 on rubber ? What about water proofness ? Anyone swim with theirs given the pushers on the 5164 ? Thanks for the feedback !
