Cartier Cartier 30134 wrist watches news:
I just started collecting a few months ago, but I am already up to 14. Of course, they are not expensive watches the most expensive one was $180, as I recall.I'm slowing down nowrealizing I can't buy everything I want, and noticing the differences in quality more so focusing on more specific types. How big is your collection and how long have you been collectingand is your collection evolving in some specific way?
So, I have to admit that I am a complete embarrassment and a fool that I had no clue about the Royal Oak and ROC line until 2017 (And I call myself a watch collector??). After seeing my boy Howie's 26300 blue, I was completely mesmerized by the case, super fine details, the gorgeous blue and was just blown away. While I am a few years late to the party, it is better late than never. I was lucky enough to source both 15300St and 15202 Jumbo and wow... they are just superb pieces and so enjoyable in their own ways. I probably will wear both for a while and see which one jives better and stays. So far, I prefer the thickness and bracelet of 15300 but the darker shade of blue on the 15202 dial is just absolutely sexy. Yes, the cal 2121 movement is awesome to check out too.2 new (late) entrants into the collection that have pushed all the Rolex aside and yes, blue is the new black
Well, I'm super excited to have picked up my first Audemars Piguet...a FC Diver. I had originally looked for a 15300 with the white dial but missed out one and have had trouble finding one. While looking though, I started learning about the Diver's and I fell in love.My only other watch that I have a is a Rolex Submariner with the ceramic bezel and I've worn it as a daily. It has collected its fair share of scratches but I love the watch in that I don't have to worry about it since its built like a tank.I went with the forged carbon with the ceramic bezel since I prefer to wear my watches wherever I go and as a daily, so I went with this one over the SS.Here are some pics (I'm not a photographer so apologies). And a shot with its older brother from another mother.
stopped into the Vancouver Omega boutique yesterday. Was looking at the new Planet Ocean LM. They only had one in stock for $5800. I was so tempted, thankfully the wife dragged me out before I pulled out my wallet. Wish I had taken some wrist shots. It is so shiny and I think nicer than the original. Also, took a look at the PloProf for comparison. What a heavy block of steel that is. Salesperson was nice enough to point out that the bracelet is shark proof, lol too bad my arm isn't. They wanted $9800 for the PloProf. A bit high for my tastes and a little to large on the wrist.
So, I'm a current Omega owner looking to make the switch to Rolex. BUT then I see this watch, the 300M automatic with blue dial and bezel. Not yet seen in person, only on-line, but would anyone be able to compare the blue on this Omega with the Blue on the Rolex Submariner (pre-ceramic bezel model). I love the Rolex blue but am haunted by the beating that the gold PCL's on the TT oyster bracelet will take. Whereas the Omega is just a stainless bracelet, and mostly not shiney. So, I guess I'm asking what are your thoughts on this particular Omega watch, model number 2220.80.00. Thanks in advance, Chuck
