TW Steel TW Steel 4469 wrist watches news:
There are two main similarities between a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster and?the watches of Roger Dubuis.?Both take an extreme approach to design relative to their respective industries. And inside of both are skillfully crafted engines, the former automotive and the latter horological. This is not so much of a paradox for the Veneno, but more so for modern Roger Dubuis watches?because (to wristwatch purists)?they?flout most of the classical design concepts generally associated?with?beautifully-made?in-house movements. In a conversation with Roger Dubuis CEO Jean-Marc Pontroue,?he explained how the perceived incongruence between polarizing designs?and technical merit can actually work in a company's favor.HODINKEE: Why does Roger Dubuis place such a great emphasis?on producing in-house movements?when the designs are so extravagant? There are a number of brands that get away with focusing almost solely on external aesthetics, without paying very much attention to the movement.Jean-Marc Pon
Well after 35 years I finally got married and got my first Rolex. I started with a Subdate and now am on the waiting list for a Daytona. I just wanted to share a couple pics to introduce myself, since I am a refugee from TZ. The first pic is not my best work, but it does show my watch the cuff links I wore at the wedding that my farther gave me and his farther gave him and my great grandfather gave to my grandfather. The ring of course is my wedding band and the bracelet is the first gift my wife gave to me. The other pics just show me and my best man and friend of 25 years. I could not have a marriage topic without pics of my lovely bride and her sister and my now daughter.
Hi all,I am toying with the idea of asking my watchmaker to apply a matt finish on the bracelet of my '57 speedy reissue.Any thoughts and suggestions of whether this is a good idea would be most welcome.Pictures would be a bonus.thanks in advance.
I figured I was getting a killer price and they sent me wire instructions and order confirmation, now tonight I check system and the order number is gone. I paid $205 for the Omega and you can click here to see the Goggle link - .google/search?hl=en&r...34&btnG=SearchSince I have order number and wire instructions for the price I paid can they pull the order? Do I have legal recourse?
So I just would like to get peoples take on this. I know nobody ever can predict what Rolex will do. But me personally I came into Rolex with the maxi case purchasing Sub C, DJII, GMT C, & Daytona C. In that order. I later traded my TT GMT C for my first 5 digit model. A 16710. And what can I say. I am in love with the 5 digit GMT. To me the proportions are perfect. I like the smaller lugs. I like the thinner case. I like the smaller hands and smaller hour markers. Do others feel this way? Would you guys at some point like to see Rolex go back to this 5 digit case size? Or should Rolex leave it in the past?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
