- I enjoy this watch strap more than the original rubber strap. I wear it daily and occasionally sleep with it on. I have not noticed any blems with it, and for the price, it's perfect.

Rolex Day-Date 40 white gold Ref. 228239OverviewOriginally introduced in 1956, the Rolex Day-Date was the last flagship model Rolex founder Hans Wilsdorf created, and it is considered to be his ultimate achievement. Also known as the “President’s watch,” the Day-Date has a rich heritage of being worn by presidents, CEOs, visionaries and important leaders around the world. Some might call it the ultimate symbol of prestige, achievement, and success.HistoryIn 1945, Rolex revolutionized calendar legibility with its Datejust, the first wristwatch chronometer to indicate the date in a window at 3 o’clock. The Cyclops lens, invented by Rolex, would be added in 1953 to further facilitate reading of the date. In 1956, with the Day-Date, Wilsdorf perfected the modern calendar by adding the day of the week, spelled out in full, in a window at 12 o’clock on the dial.Rolex Day-Date 40 Everose gold Ref. 228235For the first time on a wristwatch, the day was shown in ful
love to see some great photos of the 114270. I recall one shot with water over it..does anyone recall that shot. I think it won the photo comp.Knoffie
A post on the NAWCC wristwatch forum led me to start research on Girard Perregaux High Frequency Gyromatic chronometers. The movement is one of the most accurate produced at that time, and in 1966, 70% of the chronometer certificates issued were for G-P HF chronometers. So I made an offer on one I found and it was accepted. It's from the mid-1960's, stainless steel case in nice condition, nice dial, recently serviced, and on a G-P signed bracelet. I'll post seller photos after work and my own after it gets here.
Hey guys. I really like the speed master 60th trilogy re edition and I have the opportunity to purchase one with 4 weeks wait from the AD. I will have to make a large deposit and pay full price. Do you think this model will retain its value fairly well as a 3557LE? It seems to be fairly well received? Curious what you all think. Josh
Would you trade an older Explorer II black, for a LNIB Omega PO 232.30.46.21.01.003 (black on bracelet with orange numbers which happens to be my favorite)? Straight trade that is.
