Cartier w25063x9 wrist watches news:
Let me preface this post by saying I am drawn to the brand because of its rich heritage of innovation and engineering prowess. Simply put, Rolex smokes every watch brand in existence. However, we would all be lying to ourselves and one another if we didn't acknowledge that part of the reason you pulled the trigger is for the credit of having that huge crown badge roll around your wrist.I am not saying that I go up to tools on the street and put that huge case in their faces; I do however smile smugly as I walk by people who go Timex, Casio, Omega or Tag. I do not recognize those brands. Its also nice to know that I have the equivalent of a Chevrolet Altima rollling around my wrist.
Hello all,Just arrived in the mail today! This is a Hamilton 945 23j pocket watch. It's the 10 size, and it came with the original inner and outer boxes! It says "945 Read" and "855316", with the number 6 typed on and the other digits printed. As indicated on the outer box, this has a stainless steel case. The serial number box only indicates "GL", and it says "ARN Dial" and "E170" on the outer box also. I popped open the back briefly and it also has "READ" stamped on the inside of the caseback, along with the usual Star W. Co and Hamilton mfg. info. As seems to be typical for these 945 movements, this does not have a serial number.I looked back through a number of the catalogs which are so conveniently on the forum, and I cannot find a 23j pocket watch from this era with a stainless steel case. Was this just really unusual, or a custom order?I know, no movement photos.. sorry! Anyway, any comments/opinions welcome. Thanks!
Man, it's been a while since I posted in the forum here. Hope everyone is doing well. :)I haven't had many "incomings" to post, though I did bring home a Swiss Legend Neptune a few months back which has been my daily-wear companion most days since. I was a bit concerned when buying it online simply because I've never had a 50mm watch before, and was concerned it might be too large. I needn't have worried - fits like a glove, is very comfortable to wear and the size isn't an issue. :)Attachment 24677My return is marked by a purchase. :D Naturally I had to burn off some of the early excitement by sharing the good word here. :)Looks like, by week's end, I'll have a new Stolas Genoa in the drawer. :) Can't wait!Attachment 24678...and it was the video review here on the forum that closed the deal for me. Great looking watch and I'm looking forward to this addition to the herd. Might indulge in a custom strap for this little gem, too:)
Hello, My late 1960s Seamaster Deville will not wind anymore. the crown wont turn and when i put it up to my ear i cant hear the rotor spin anymore. the best way I can describe it as "locked up". the watch will still tick but only for a few seconds. I know when I would manually wind the watch it would "lock up" but after letting it run for a couple minutes you could wind it again. I did have the watch cleaned a few months ago. The mainspring is prety weak because it wouldnt run more than a few hourss when not being worn. thanks Joe
some of you guys may know after a few years hiatus I've recently come back to this site. Last month I purchased a new 39mm Explorer 214270. Not being content I placed an order for a BLNR (which should arrive 2nd week of Aug) So for a couple of weeks I stopped obsessing about Rolexes. Well browsing the omega forums was not a good idea for me either. I now have a 3570.50.00 incoming
