- I just received my watch. It feels like a very high quality piece. I love the pink pearl face. Not sure I love the pink stones as much as I thought I would, but definitely love the watch. It was a great Christmas present.

Jaeger LeCoultre 163842 wrist watches news:
As its name implies, the new Hublot watch is a mono-pusher chronograph. The new Hublot Pioneer MonoControl watch is offset by a rotating bezel. It frames a silver or black colored dial with Superluminova-applied hands and Arabic numerals. The functions are brought to life by a Swiss ETA Valjoux 7750 movement. The new Hublot watch is mounted on a brown strap, embellished with white stitching.
I just called Dallas SC to inquire about repairing the bezel on my 16622 YM. I have been told on forums that Rolex automatically changes these inserts rather then repair. The insert has a few "marks' on it but not deep scratches. You have to look hard to see them. Rolex Dallas said they can repair the sandblasted areas w/o doing a full polish which they actually were reluctant to do. (Good advice from Rolex)So off it will go to Dallas and then when it returns I am selling the watch. =) maverick
After looking at dozens of watches I finally decided on an Oris. At first I looked at Baume et Mecier and almost bought a Riviera but kept looking for something a little more sporty. I suppose looking is half of the fun. I finally decided on an Oris Williams F1. It's not from the current collection but I really like the way it looks. I'm getting it from About Time witch is an AD and they made me deal that I couldn't pass up. I've only looked at a few Oris watches in person as the closest dealers is 150 miles away. I mailed them a check last week so I'm waiting patiently for them the send me the watch. I hope it's everything I was looking for.
I hope others on this forum have noticed presence of Mr. Ray Knight . I think alot of companies and customers alike can learn something from this man , I know I have . Thoroughly versed , quick with an answer and good to his customers . I posted this in the GD forum and not on the LT forum because it's not about the brand , it's just smart business practices and respect for one's customers . Bravo..........
Does anyone understand what the current situation is with ETA and their supply of ¨¦bauche kits to 3rd party manufacturers? From what I understand, they started reducing supply in 2008, and are to stop supply alltogether in 2010, or at least at much lower numbers. Can anyone tell me if that is the case, and what it means for watch manufacturers that still use base eta movements in their watches?Watch manufacturers lately have all been scrambling to create their own movements, which sounds like it was Hayek's plan: "[t]ere was no innovation, no new development, and when I pushed them to start doing new production, everybody started shoutingI said I was not going to deliver any more of my movements unless they try to do their own productionOtherwise the Swiss watch industry will suffer exactly the same problems it had before and it will go down." (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ETA_SA#Valjoux_7750)Will companies like Breitling, Panerai, IWC etc still be able to offer eta base movements in a few
