Sinn & Paul Parey Limited Edition Hunting Watch
Sinn has announced the release of a limited edition chronograph in partnership with Paul Parey publishing. For those not in the know (myself included), Paul Parey is a German publisher of a wide range of hunting and fishing magazines. Sinn has essentially customized their excellent 756 chronograph with a dark green dial and earthy brown strap to make a hunting watch.Hunters can be subjected to a wide range of environmental extremes so I think a Sinn fits nicely into the hunter/woodsman ethos. They are tough, no-nonsense, reliable and legible timepieces that are not meant to be safe queens, I can think of few better watches for the active outdoors type. Jaquet Droz Eclipse Watch
This is a more "simple" Jaquet Droz watch with an annual calendar and a quirky moon phase indicator. Called the "Eclipse," it comes in a 18k gold case and a nice black enamel dial. Nice? Sure. Super Jaquet Droz in character? Not really. Where is the "figure 8" dial we like so much? Once the brand gets new leadership, we will see where the core design sits after the dust settles. over the weekend on holiday and this happened! A proud owner of the black ceramic diver finally. Been trying to get one since the debut. Tough one to come along. While I was there I saw the Perpetual Chronograph offshore in Titanium... Only 35 made. I didn't buy it but darn it's now messing with my head. arhhh... I had plenty of compliments on the RB2 I was wearing... Maybe I should have initiated a trade on my RB2 and extra cash instead and bought the Perpetual too... Who knows, maybe you'll see another incoming thread from me soon...
