Cartier wb7073L1 wrist watches news:
...on last weekend.Isn¡ät the color much warmer than steel ?
Thank goodness they kept the lug holes! Seriously, if they're gonna "evolve" this classic, I'd have preferred they not gone after COSC, and dropped the white-gold surrounds. I would make another purchase to get that!
I purchased this 6139-6002 about six months ago, & just picked it up from my repair guy this morning! The case & dial are in great shape, but the movement needed a fair amount of work. I fitted a leather racing strap with a stainless deployant/deployment clasp in place of the original stainless bracelet.Still can't figure out if he approves or not...And one with its 1970's Seiko brethren!
Looking to buy a watch rather quickly as my Rolex must go back to teh shop. I've been looking at some recent Hamilton chronographs but am cionfused. What appears to be the typical Hamilton chron has a tachymeter scale on the bezel, however, there are Hamiltons being sold that have a telemeter scale on the bezel. These watches are hard to come by and I'm trying to get the tachymeter version...tachymeter does not equal telemeter. I don't know if this is a manufacturing variance, a product center variance, or are they frauds? Anyone know what's going on with this?
I'm hoping someone on this forum can help me learn something more about this watch, beyond its being a Deville, presumably bought at Turler in Switzerland (?). And, possibly, any recommendations on where to get it restored?20150627_072822.jpg20150626_110020.jpgA little background ... my father bought this for my mother when he first visited Switzerland in 1968 - '69. Based on what my parents have told me, those were financially difficult times for them, with having to support an extended family. Coming as it did about five years after they were married, this would have been the first nice gift my father would have been able to get her. Growing up, I remember my mother wearing it proudly. At some point in the last 12 years or so, deteriorating health prevented her from wearing this (or any watch), until her passing 5 years ago. Over the years, the watch has been serviced and maintained, not always by Omega authorized service centers, until upkeep of the watch could no longer be hi
