Omega 176.001 wrist watches news:
Hi everybody - I'm new here. My name is Dan and I'm from Birmingham UK.A long time ago I was left a watch by my Grandad. He was in the RAF and I believe he bought the watch abroad.Anyway, I was hoping that somebody on here might be able to tell me something about it? I'd love to learn more.I have never seen another Omega with a box like this - it's leather with a suede inner. It's probably pretty common to you guys though. Also most other vintage pie-pan (hope I got that right) omegas seem to have a 3 o clock date too and this one doesn't.I'd appreciate any feedback on the watch, and an estimate of worth as I want to name it on my home insurance policy. Thanks in advance everybody.Dan
Hey guys ! ! ! You kind of got a sneak peek of this one, at least the dial and hands the other day.Well, testing on the movement is now complete and it is all back together now. This is a 1917 Elgin Trench Watch with an OFFSET CROWN, size 3/0s.Like I said in the teaser thread this dial style does not get much love, everybody always wants the Pershings, RED 12's, and other enamel military dial Elgins. This dial has NOT been re-finished, just a ton of hard work to bring it back to splendor.Bold Arabic font metal military dial with factory drilled hour marker lum holes. As you can see in the before pictures this one was pretty rough and in some need of help. The hands that were on this watch when I got it were the wrong ones so I have replaced them with a set of correct hands.I re-lumed the dial and hands just as they were back in 1917.I did some work on the case and installed a brand new glass crystal with UV cement and a UV curing machine.Cleaned the 7 jewel movement, it's running like a ch
Hi folks,This is one of my first posts in this forum so please forgive me if I make any silly mistakes. I wanted to share with you all a unique waltham wire lug watch that has recently come into my possession. As you can see it has a red 12 Schierwater & Lloyd dial, a 0 size 9k gold dennison case, and a Lady Waltham movement. The odd thing about this watch is that the movement predates the case by 16 years, with the movement and case dating to 1905 and 1921 respectively. I just thought I'd share this watch with you all and see if anyone can tell me any more about it?Thanks in advance,MartinIMG_0152.jpg2.jpg3.jpg
I keep seeing APs at the tables
Please show me those Panda ROO pictures. Can't wait to try one on this week!
