- Great watch ( but gorgeous!). Just make sure you get enough links removed to fit - then it does not look/feel too on wrist. Worth it!

Omega 2209.50 wrist watches news:
In 1803 Ali Effendi also specified the watches he would purchase from BREGUET henceforth must feature Turkish dials rather than Arabic or Roman numerals. In light of these considerations, BREGUET designed a seried of watches with an aesthetic wholly different from what he had made before.
from europastar.com:Cutting-edge quartz Quartz is dead, long live the mechanical watch. That seems to be the rallying cry of most of the established Swiss brands. April 01, 2008 By Keith W. Strandberg Based on everything that is in the media, the majority of stories and coverage being on mechanical watches, one could assume that quartz watches are on their way out.Nothing could be further from the truth, however. The vast majority of watches sold worldwide are quartz. In fact, quartz exports from Switzerland were greater than mechanical watches in 2006 - 24,866,185 to 21,108,829 units (source: FH).Quartz watches are alive and well...and maybe, just maybe, ready for a renaissance. The benefits of quartz For a while, quartz was the giant killer, pushing the mechanical watch to the brink of extinction. Many people can't understand today's interest in mechanical watches - for them, it's about precision and reliability and if those are the only criteria, there is no question that quartz watc
Well I have no idea who to ask but the short story is that my aunt gave my grandpa a watch, he didn't like it because it was too heavy so he gave it to my dad who doesn't wear watches so now I have it. As silly as it sounds, I want to find out what type of watch it is so I can figure out how to use it. I've included some pictures below. The ring rotates 90 degrees to cover up the crown. The seconds are read off the right sub dial and the red second hand does not move (or i havent noticed it moving). And finally I have absolutely no clue as to what the left sub dial does. There are some numbers engraved in the side of the watch and something engraved under the strap saying "0EGOD". I believe it is an automatic watch, the kind that gets energy when you move it around. Thanks in advance for helping me out, I would be very grateful even if the type of watch wasn't found but someone told me what's what on the watch.
So I have a stupid question but have to ask. I have a few watches that are water resistant/proof but have leather bands/bracelet. How many people here wear these watches in the shower or swim with them. How smart is it to submerge a watch with a leather band?
