Thinking of the GMT while in Kalimantan
I have been in Indonesia the last few days and I sure wish I had a GMT watch with me. Keep waking up too early each morning getting my time mixed up.Internet connection here at my hotel is unpredictable. Finally some working speed this morning after 3 days of lag. What about basing a collection on independants?
I've been thinking about how I may be able to narrow my collection a bit, and it strikes me that I seem to lean towards brands that are small & independent like Bucherer, Borel, Buler, Edox, Mirexal, and Titoni. Not sure about Ebel, Gruen,or Festinaare they still indi?With this in mind, could you folks help me assemble a list of (modest) watch companies that are still on their own?Any help would be appreciated.Cliff

Hi all, apologies, I've never posted a thread on here before but I'm after some advice...I have a Rolex 1007 which has a 1570 calibre movement. The dial is looking quite aged now and I am reluctant to get it refinished so I wondered if any other dials would fit this model/calibre. Does anyone know? Thanks
