WatchTime’s March-April 2014 issue, on sale March 18, features a cover story on Breguet, and its groundbreaking Classique Chronometrie 7727 watch, by editor-in-chief Joe Thompson. The story includes insights from Breguet president and CEO Marc A. Hayek, gleaned from an interview conducted at Breguet’s offices in Switzerland’s Vall¨¦e de Joux. In this excerpt from the interview, Hayek discusses how the “no-layoffs” policy he implemented during the economic crisis of 2009 actually helped boost the sales of the Swiss luxury watch brand.

Hi my beloved watch-friends, I have a burning question for weeks now. I came to realize that no matter how good-looking or expensive the watch is, a good choice of leather straps including its colour make a great difference to the overall impression of the watch. So with that in mind, what kind of leather straps are top in your list, factoring the costs involved and the grain type. Thanks for any input/suggestions. You are welcome to vote more than once. :)
Hey guys,I am aware that many people have mentioned that the rotor in their p.9000 is rough, which is how I would describe the rotor in my Pam 312. When I try to spin watch with it off, the rotor fully spins only a few times max. That said, the watch doesn't lose power when I normally wear it.However, I cam across this youtube video of a Pam 312 which has a silky smooth rotor that freely spins a number of times with a strong thrust. Is this the way the rotor is supposed to spin? Because mine is not nearly as smooth.https://.youtube/watch?v=CVX_aLYqkIg
I currently have a GMT II BLNR, SpeedMaster Professional, and Zenith El Primero.Which one of the three would be a good add to the collection? Sub No Date, AP Royal Oak, JLC MoonPhase Ultra Thin? I was looking at the sub hulk as well but I prefer the classic look of the sub no date. I am thinking of the AP and the JLC as well as options since the sub no date is a little similar to the gmt ii. Thoughts?
