Dior CD112113R001 wrist watches news:
Did you know that Hamilton manufactured cases for watches that contained Illinois movements in them? This happened after Hamilton bought out Illinois...From Finer Times-HAMILTON - AMERICA'S PREMIER WRIST WATCHOf all the brands of vintage American wrist watches, the one that is arguably the most desirable among collectors are those that were made by Hamilton. The wrist watches Hamilton produced during its ¡°golden era¡± the 1920s to about the mid ¡®50s are often referred to by collectors as the ¡°American Pateks,¡± in reference to Patek Philippe, the Swiss company that produces what is generally regarded as the world¡¯s finest if not most expensive mechanical wrist watch. This notariety is perhaps ironic in that the company did not sell the most wrist watches during this "golden period." That distinction belongs to Elgin. And it certainly wasn't the first American watch company in existence; in fact it was the last. Hello,I've just joined this forum after checking it out for several months. Due to $ issues last year, I was not able to purchase one or two Hamiltons I've been interested in. Fortunately, my situation has improved and I am now able to pull the trigger on another watch.Currently, I have two Hamilton's: a Khaki King Scuba and Jazzmaster Viewmatic. I purchased these at a rather large retailer that folded last year and was able to obtain good discounts. The Authorized Dealers near me are rather pricey and upscale. I'm not sure how much I could haggle with them since they have little competition. I'm interested in hearing of some experiences from other members concerning on-line dealers. I would also appreciate any references to sites that members can recommend. I know it is the policy to send such information via personal messages and not to post them in public forums. By the way, I'm really happy with both my Hamilton's. They run a little fast, but I think this is to be expected
Long awaited but worth it (sorry about the photo quality)...
Finally picked up my Pam 1312 ... absolutely love it !!!!!!!
