Baume & Mercier Clifton Chronograph Watches For 2014
When a brand such as Baume & Mercier says they're digging into their archives for new watches, you can't be quite sure what you might see. As one of the seven oldest watch brands, they've got quite an assortment of inspiration to draw from. This latest batch of vintage-inspired pieces will expand the Clifton collection that we saw introduced earlier this year.Drawing from what's labeled as the "golden era" of the 1950s, these new automatic Clifton chronographs will be formally introduced at SIHH in January. Intrinsically, the three are mechanically the same - 43mm stainless steel case, ETA 7750 movement (decorated and visible through the case back), sapphire crystals, and a 50m WR rating, to mention some of the highlights. Clerc Hydroscaph Limited Edition Chronograph Watches
This year sees three versions of the Clerc Hydroscaph Limited Edition Chronograph watch. This unique piece is attractive as well as functional. Clerc uses a special movement that offers a full 12 hour chronograph with just two subdials. Rather than have two hands in one of the subdials, the main dial is used to measure both the chronograph seconds and the minutes. Wearing them I find the pieces to be extremely cool probably one of Clerc's best creations thus far.The Calibre C608 automatic movement is exclusively made for Clerc. I find the layout of it very enticing as it adds to the dial aesthetic as well as making the chronograph easier to read. I do want to say that this Clerc dial has been cleaned up some and the result is quite elegant. The design is almost artful in its approach to making a watch face more visually interesting. Legibility is maintained, and I love the hands - on all versions they stick out so well.Note how the chronograph pushers have been designed, they look like

Teaching my son about chronographs

What are ur best watch box/case brands for carrying/storing your Rolexes in 1 place?
I wanted to ask TRF what are your best watch box/carrying cases for your multiple Rolex timepieces and other precious watches. 6-12 slots is the ideal.Suitcase style? Window display? Permanent on dresser or carrying style? I'm open to options and styles and wanted to hear what the experts here on TRF use.(I'm currently using 6 slot leather watch roll and have my Rolex timepieces laying all over the place and different rooms. I now have more than 6 and figured a larger and more appropriate solution to properly store my watches would be prudent)Leaving name of company and type of case in your reply would be greatly appreciated.
