This is the latest watch from UTS Munchen. We've written before about UTS, it's basically the obsessive engineering of Nicolaus Spinner. You just might.Simply called the UTS 4,000M, there are two versions, a GMT with the ETA 2893 and a 3-hander with the ETA 2824.Unlike most brands, UTS makes their own cases. Spinner is a mechanical engineer, and personally I have to say that watch-obsessed engineers make the most interesting watches. Think UTS, Damasko, ochs und junior, and probably others. You don't have to be a mechanical engineer, but it seems to help.Anyway. The 4,000M is a massive 45mm by 17.5mm, with 6mm AR-coated sapphire crystal, bidirectional ceramic bezel locking system and special glued and screw system for the crystal. (see attached pics)It was originally steel made (with its bracelet marked Omega and others) but Dad in last '70s brought it in Jewellery and made some changes to it. (why not to buy a gold-new one? It cost less I think).AnywayNow it have 18K yellow gold case with a number "308369" stamped on backWhite-gold (or white-al?) dial with date and "OMEGA" "Automatic" on it18K Bracelet (not original).Plastic glass rounded.I think it's similar to this one Omega oro only with date but I can't find it on Omega's Vintage Collection on OMEGA Watches: Vintage Watches.Can someone help me to identify this watch?Thanks a lotMarco

If you were me how would you handle this situration?
Two days ago I went to a high end jewelery store that sells Rolex, Breitling, Tag and I believe Raymond Weil. Any way I worked in there wearing my Citizen world timer on the original strap but was looking for a Genuine Alligator or Crocodile but when one of the sales peolpe asked to see my watch I kindly handed it over to them because they did'nt believe me when I had said it was a 21mm which I admit is kind of odd, But what got me mad was the way the sales person slammed my watch onto the display case, I did'nt do anything because I'm not from where they were locate so I did not want to be kicked out as soon as I walk in there again LOL. I always feel intimated walking into highend stores especially when everyone looking at what your wearing.:mad::mad::mad:

I have been following this piece for 3 years and the wait is almost over thanks to my friend David Farkas (perpetualman88). I remember in 2011 My AD handed me a Patek Philippe Magazine and said maybe someday you'll want a Patek. I had purchased Panerais and Rolexes but never thought I would spend that type of serious money on a watch. I opened up the PP magazine and saw an article on this beautifully strange piece and said to my wife this is the one I want to own someday. She laughed and didn't take me too seriously.
