I'm choosing between the Milgauss GV and the DJ SS w/ diamond dial on my next purchase of a Rolex watch. I already have a Submariner and I'm thinking of a watch to wear for semi-formal to formal occasions, will the Milgauss be OK for formal wear? Which model will retain its value more,Milgauss or DJ?

Anyone wanna take a crack at identifying this watch and/or the movement? I'm guessing circa 1920's. Its got me stumped but it runs and looks good.
