Well, I did the "Out" so it's time for the "In". Can't have one without the other!2005 (ish) IWC Spitfire:I don't know why I'm so ambivalent about this watch because I smile every time I put it on. I guess it's because I drooled over the silver dialed version for so long. This was the "pilot" episode of the Project Watch Club series (get it? pilot? and it's a pilot watch :D):The Project Watch Club1960 Longines Conquest:It's no big secret that I this watch. I consider it the crown jewel of my vintage collection. I really hope I don't sound like I'm bragging but this was a tough one to track down and at the time it was by far the most I had ever paid for a vintage watch. 196x Hamilton Masterpiece Bradford:This was a spur of the moment eBay buy. It was just too low of a price to pass up. I realize now why I like the case - take a look at the lugs and then compare them to the VC further down. 1971 Heuer Autavia Viceroy:Another Project Watch Club subject:Project Watch Club: &qu
Well I missed the Great White but they came out with a Greater White Ploprof....the old Rolex Explorer II looker too small so they made it bigger and now I'm banging my head.I love white but don't know which to get, granted they are both different styles of watch. What do you think? With the discounts that I can get and taxes factored in the Ploprof will be about $75 more expensive.
Well Rolex gave us a new SS Pepsi GMT which is what I Personally thought would come out . After reading the various threads on the BLRO being discontinued itmade sense to me . I didn’t think they’d offer a SS and a PM model simultaneously though... Albeit the coke was not forgotten altogether you see... It’s in the bottom of the new SS Pepsi page on Rolex website as part of history as a consolation to those hoping for a new coke gmt ... Anybody think the Coke C on Jubilee would’ve been a hotter seller than the Pepsi ??? Here’s the link to the GMT history bit on Rolexhttps://m.rolex/watches/baselwor...blro-0001.htmlI think Rolex does listen but have a unique way of catering to their clientele ...
I¡¯m very torn for my next upcoming purchase, hoping my fellow Rolex fans can help me out! I work in real estate development and although I¡¯m in more of a managerial position these days there¡¯s nothing like jumping in the hole yourself and getting your hands dirty Aesthetically I definitely prefer a GMT of some sort but I have become enamoured with the ruggedness of the Explorer II. I worry that the GMT isn¡¯t made for those environments, I would love to see your Rolex in the craziest situations you have put them through, let¡¯s see those pics!!!
