Back from PHL and got a surprise in the mail
I just got back from a 3 day trip to NY and PHL. I am happy to report that I have my COSC certificate from Bienne. Maria sent it to me and she is extremely nice. Since it is somewhat late, I will wait until tomorrow to post some pictures.

ORBITA Casetta issue
Hi everybody and greetings from Moscow, Russia.I've just recieved a second-hand ORBITA Casetta winder from US.The issue is as follows - it makes several turns, but eventually the rubber belt goes out of the large weel and the winder gets stuck. I'm quite disappointed cause wanted to leave my Zenith on it while going to 2 week vacation, but now I see it's unreliable...Any suggestions would be welcome!.Also it doesn't have any sign of switch for 10/15 min interval choice. Could it be the older version??Regards,Ivan

Vintage HAMILTON GOLD FILLED "WARD" MODELPrice $300USA Lancaster PA made Hamilton wrist watch and it is a Hamilton signed "Ward" case. This case is gold filled with a nearly perfect snap in stainless steel back. As the scan shows you there are no personal engravings on this case at all. The length is 37mm long lug to lug and without the crown it is 25mm wide. The case serial number is S563787. The movement is freshly cleaned , oiled and timed as it is a Hamilton manual wind caliber 747 with 17 clean jewels. The scan doesn't really show you but this is a high damaskeened movement and extra extra clean. The band is 16mm in width and new never worn. The year this Hamilton was produced is 1957. On a closing note I just want to point out the dial has patina changes as it is 100% original never touched and the crystal is glass and original as well.Courtesy of our sponsor Darlor Watches

At the end I ended up
at the dark side. After being Panerai opponents throughout my watchcollectinglifefor the simple reason that the crown guard went away if you want to have the watch on your wrist becomes nothing good I think with this grotesque bodywork. Then they make a sandwich dial that is completely outstanding made me get up the eyes of Destro (left-hinged) model, which is a good compromise.The model 219 since missing a second hand made me the confident because I think Panerai withsub second be completely wrong proportions because it is so small relative to the rest of the watch, I think.Furthermore, I would like to have it brushed instead of mirror finish which is likely to be what it is suffering. The wife was with and inspected during unpacking and thought it seemed to be a crap watch when they sent a screwdriver. You should have it when it breaks down?Glassback and a decorated movement looks nice on a watch that can handle 300 meters.Naturally, it is alright readable in dark.
