- Watch looks higher quality then price. Husband liked the look of face and that is lays relatively flat on wrist- not overly bulky..

- I loved the bold colors. Unfortunately, the size of the watch is large, more fitting for Men than women. I wish Timex makes the exact same except er. I would definitely buy one for me.

Cartier WA501006 wrist watches news:
I am trying to become more educated on a 1955 ladies Ref. 3148 that my Grandmother has so we can sell it to help pay for her long term care. She is not the original owner. It was given to her in the 70s. I ordered the extract which is how I found out the year it was manufactured. It is 18k gold. It originally came with a leather strap according to the extract. I doubt the gold band on there now is Patek. The jewelers we have taken it to are giving us estimates of 3k-4k. I know they have to make a profit and the estimates seem reasonable. I just wanted to see if there was anything special about this model since I can find very little information on it anywhere on the web and haven't seen many sale/auction pricing information for this model.Any insight into the rarity, desirability of this model would be appreciated. I attached some pictures. It seems to be in very good condition and does work. Thanks,Brian
I was given a watch in the early 80's in Italy as a confirmation gift from my uncle. I am trying to find some informatiopn about it but am having no luck. It is an 18k yellow gold automatic wristwatch. The brand on the face and the back is Neirs. Also the model name is Geneve. The back of the case also has some numbers below the Neirs mark. The number is: 1826 1.I hope some one here can give me some info. I tried googling the brand name but have come up empty. I did find a brand of gold watches named Geneve but I am not sure if maybe the company changed their name somewhat. Also down at the bottom on the face of the watch it says swiss movement. I did open it up to look at the movement and it is engraved with the statement that it is a 24 or 25 jewel (can't remember exactly). Thanks in advance.
I wish to replace the crystal on my CL168.016 conny and have purchased a genuine PZ5111 and Bregeut type crystal removal tool. How much pressure should I be using on the tool? It seems incredibly tight and am concerned about scratching the case! Should it actually be accessed via the back of the case after removing movement? Thanks in advance
What I've seen online, a lot of stores are in another cities. Any recommendations?
I think I have a problem. I just became a member here last week. It took me all of one day to buy a BLNR from the classified section! I¡¯ve been into watches a very long time but this is by far the nicest piece I¡¯ve owned. I¡¯m loving this watch so much that I¡¯m literally obsessing over wanting to acquire more. Somehow having this one on my wrist changed everything. So my question is for those of you that have already been down this road, how do you control yourself from selling everything you own to buy more watches?!?
