Invicta 17823 wrist watches news:
One of the coolest tourbillons we saw at SIHH in January was A. Lange & Sohne's Richard Lange Tourbillon "Pour le Merite."? This is the watch, designed after a 19th century pocketwatch (pictured below), that has a dial that is only fully visible during half of the day.? The point of the disappearing dial? Simple, really. The folks at ALS just want the wearer of this Pour le Merite to be able to view the fantastic tourbillon that he or she is paying for.The Richard Lange Tourbillon is a regulator, with the minutes being displayed on the top dial while hours on bottom right, seconds via the tourbillon at bottom left. During the hours of 12-6, half of the hour dial is missing to display the full tourbillon.? Once the watch hits 6, the dial pops back into place and a full circle is displayed again.? As this is a "poure le merite" watch, it is driven by a fus¨¦e and chain transmission to ensure regular power delivery while the watch is being wound and as it works through its power reserve. On
Sorry I meant BPS. I was just wondering if there is a noticeable difference between the smoothness of the two. I did read why the co-axial version was slowed down but whatever the reason it seems a shame to me. A step forward and then a step back approach?

One thing about horology that confuses me is the difference between a "modded" watch and a "frankenwatch".Both have parts that are not original to the watch, i.e. a different dial, hands or case etc. So why is one apparently acceptable (modded) and the other (frankenwatch) is not?Is it the intent? By that I mean does someone who mods a watch mean it to be just that ( a watch that has been altered from the original) and someone who builds a frankenwatch has the intent to deceive? The difference between a fake and an authentic watch, for example a Rolex is clear to me, it's just the difference between a modded watch and a so called frankenwatch that has me puzzled.
It's gone for good this time, out of reach and no longer mine. The last picture And the last thing it did for me is... To fund for something that will satisfy my Panerai :Jni:
