Cartier Cartier 12352 wrist watches news:
Dear Rolex-Fans, following you will find some scans from Reinhold Messners book about his solo climb to the Nanga Parbat in 1978. Messner wore an Explorer II 1655, which can be seen from the scans. This book was responsible for my decision to buy a 1655 in 1979, which was my very first Rolex. The Bookcover:Messners 1655:(Source: Reinhold Messner: Alleingang, BLV Verlagsgesellschaft M¨¹nchen, 1979)And as you can see, my 1655 is still with me:An interesting detail: Messner reached the Nanga Parbat on 9th August 1978 and therefore AFTER his first climb to the Everest without additional oxygene together with Peter Habeler on 8th May 1978. Looking to Rolex-advertisements from that time Messner should have worn during the Everest-expedition an Oysterquartz, which he then obviously changed to a 1655 for the solo climb to the Nanga Parbat. Unfortunately Messners book about the Everest-Expedition does not show any photo of him on which his watch can be seen. Only a photo of Peter Habeler wearing
I found a watch in a park few days ago and I'm wondering how much could it worth. Its been a hour that I'm looking for informations on google and there no pictures or details about that watch. Here's a picture I took:The number on the back is 9812Can someone help me?(sorry about my bad english)thanks,Dave.
Am currently seeking a Speedmaster Moonwatch, now the situation is, I have to sell my Planet Ocean to buy it. Can anyone kindly advise me on how much I should expect for my 42 mm PO?It was purchased December 2008. The serial on the lug matches all the credit cards, and also the cream hangtag. It is immaculate, I cant wear watches in my place of work and I dont get much free time, so it has been sat in a box. Im seeking a moonwatch as I love the history connected to it. My little boy loves anything to do with space also, so Im hoping this is the one I'd like him to inherit which is pretty morbid I know. One bought on the same year of his birth would be perfect also!
but now its back on the wrist! I haven't worn my 372 for the last 3-4 months because I'm not a fan of how leather feels during the summer heat and humidity. Almost flipped it because of the lack of wrist time but I'm glad I didn't. I feel like I've fallen in love all over again
Anyone observe the same? Everybody wants to flip for $$$$$Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
