Modern Rolex Sales in the dumps??
I have just sold two vintage watches and have one (YM) FS. The vintage sold w/o much problems but the modern one just is not selling.I placed it on eBay and the high bid was $4660.00. This is NOT a ladies YM or a mid-size and I cannot get over 5K?I realize the watch is a few years old but it is close to near mint!However anyone can give watches away and I refuse to take less than 5K or will just keep the watch or give it to my son. Omega PO v Rolex Sub Movement
My collegue in work today brought his Rolex Submariner BLk bez 3yrs old to compare against my PO 42mm BLK BEZ 9wks old, and he made a comment about the movement of my seconds hand he said" compared to my Rolex the movement looks similar to a quartz movement i can see its not but if you look at my watch it's a smoother, you should have bought a sub nice looking watch though"Is the movement better in his watch or mine, and as far as movements go has Omega got anything in it's locker better than PO.ThanksAndrew

So my latest addition is most definitely a grail watch for me and frankly I never thought I¡¯d own one primarily because of the cost. A little background¡­til now my most expensive watch has been my Christopher Ward C40 Speedhawk¡­.and I got that one during one of their infrequent sales for a great price. My collection is made up of mostly watches of the $500 or less variety and I¡¯ve been perfectly happy with that¡­.you can get some really GREAT watches with that kind of budget and I definitely feel I have. So this past August 17 my wife and I have been together for 25 years¡­.married for 15 but together since our senior year of high school. We used to always try and get something nice for each other on that date every year but since we had our son 6.5 years ago we kind of calmed down with that. This year we were talking and she said ¡°You know what¡­25 years is a long time and we deserve to get ourselves something nice¡±. We¡¯re definitely now doing the ¡°pick your own gift¡± thing

My new Casio Pathfinder
as it happen sometimes I have started to search for a new Seiko (Spirit Perpetual Calendar GMT SBQJ015) and ended with this ....(btw - no worries the SBQJ015 is yet to be purchased soon lol)This Casio is pretty similar to all other PAW1300 Pathfinders. What differentiate it is sort of an Orange / Bronze touch which I really liked.Other high level features are :Radio controlled - US / Europe / JapanSolar poweredABC - Altimeter, Barometer, CompassWorldtime5 AlarmsStopwatchTimerWR 100mModel # PAW1300B-4This is sort of a 'week-end' watch which I'll most probably use for hiking, cycling, jogging etc. In other words I doubt if I'll ever wear it at the office nonetheless I find it cool enough to be worth spending $200 (in the US).Some additional pic's -Cheers and a very nice week-end!
