Cartier Cartier 32359 wrist watches news:
Rolex USA sent me the 116613 for evaluation so I've been playing with it this weekend. My initial reaction is that as much as I like the bracelet upgrades, I'm not big on the thicker lugs. The older 16613 just seems more elegant to me, particularly how the bracelet more proportionately tapers from the case. Getting an accurate shot which shows the difference in the color of the dial/bezel of these two watches was difficult, but this shot does the trick. The 16613 is a bit darker blue, and the 116613 has a uniform, consistent blue color.
Hey all,If you'd like to see some more pictures of the new Day Date II's, I posted the 5 pictures that are in the dealer kits on the Day Date Basel '08 thread. I also posted the info that was in the kit, which had a short introduction to the DD II & the technical data. The Basel threads are in the Rolex Information & Resource Archive, located at the very top of the Rolex Forum tree, directly above the "New Thread" button. Or, you can go directly to the thread here.. .info/forums/s...ead.php?t=6247just a taste of what you'll see there......
I am looking for a gift for a friends 50th. Interested in finding a 1959 Omega...preferably a Seamaster...but also looking for a royal navy or airforce version of an omega...since he is english.Condition should be at least good and at a fair price. If anyone has links or leads I will be greatly appreciated. Is there anything unique in 59 that might be of interest as well please chime in.
Love this close up taken on my iPhone with a loupe over the lens!
As some of you already know, I have been torn over finding my one and only Rolex that I hope to purchase in the next few months. I am looking for versatility in whatever watch I buy. I'm in a suit at least once a week and in jeans/button up shirt the rest of the week. I like the DJII, but I'm not sure if it will dress down too well with shorts and a t shirt. But, I like the silver dial, as opposed to the black. I also like the date function. On the other hand, I'm digging the chromalight lume, brushed bracelet, oysterlock clasp, and WG Arabic numerals on the Exp I. One thing I think I will miss is the date complication if I choose the Explorer. For those of you who may own both, what are your thoughts? Too many good choices out there!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
