Invicta 15318 wrist watches news:
Welcome back to an watches-dealer original series, where we discuss important stores that sell watches all over the world. Each store we profile has an interesting story to tell about where they operate and who they sell to. Whether you buy watches from brick and mortar retailers or prefer to buy watches online, these are the stores that help shape our watch culture around the globe. There is a long list of stores to cover, but if there is a retail location in your favorite city that we simply can¡¯t miss, let us know in the comments below.Where to buy watches in Newport, Rhode Island?Back in 1992, while Ray Grenon was in college, he worked for a store called "The Best of Times" in Rochester, NY. They had a case of watches that were $9.99, a case of watches that were $19.99 and so on. Lots of Timex products and Swatch. Their high end was Seiko LaSalle, Bulova and Citizen. Ray reports that it was a fantastic experience which started him on his journey which resulted in opening Grenon's o
OK, here is a quick review of my new Seiko Spring Drive SNS001 which I have had for a few months now. First, apologies for the attached photo at the end of this post. I KNOW folks here love wrist shots, and I took several. But I crashed my camera¡¯s memory card trying to get the pictures onto my PC . Hopefully I can add a few wrist shots next weekend.POSITIVES: This watch is amazingly accurate for a "mechanical" watch (more on that below). It is gaining only about one second a month. Remarkable!I really like the smooth operation of the seconds hand. The finish and quality are high quality ¨C although not as high as in my Grand Seiko. It is super-convenient to own and wear. In fact, it has become my ¡°every-day¡± watch. I wear it more than all of my other dozen or so watches combined - and that includes a Rolex, an IWC, an Omega, a Breiltling, a Grand Seiko and a Credor that are all getting very little wrist time. It has no battery or capacitor to ever replace. It has a 72 hour rese
A friend sent me these little "facts" about back in the 1500's. I am not all that sure as to their validity but, they were an amusing read. Maybe Boscoe can research them out as to true or false. Here are some facts about the1500s: Most people got married in June because they took their yearly bath in May, and still smelled pretty good by June. However, they were starting to smell, so brides carried a bouquet of flowers to hide the body odor. Hence the custom today of carrying a bouquet when getting married. Baths consisted of a big tub filled with hot water.. The man of the house had the privilege of the nice clean water, then all the other sons and men, then the women and finally the children. Last of all the babies. By then the water was so dirty you could actually lose someone in it. Hence the saying, Don't throw the baby out with the Bath water.. Houses had thatched roofs-thick straw-piled high, with no wood underneath. It was the only place for animals to get warm, so al
This is a fun article. It's all about the various watches and secret tricks they could do in the James Bond films. Includes the Rolex, Omega and Seiko watches that were used. "In today's "bottom line" world, companies spend their money carefully. So you can be sure that it is not without good reason that some of the world's finest watchmakers (among them such heavyweights as Rolex, Omega, and Seiko) have sought to link their products to the excitement, elegance and cachet that the public has learned to associate with James Bond, the gentleman secret agent with a licence to kill. Most recently it's been Omega that has been peppering magazines and newspapers around the world with images of James Bond wearing their "Seamaster Professional" model with the legend "Selected by James Bond." Note that this is not an endorsement by Pierce Brosnan, but rather by James Bond. Despite what 007 told Fatima Blush in NEVER SAY NEVER AGAIN, James Bond does indeed do endorsements...."Full article here:
Guys, am new to rolex and has just bought a brand new datejust off the AD. I came back home and took out of box. Watch was dead and i wound around 20 times and still the watch didnt started ticking just like my seiko or eta automatic. I had to move /tickle the watch to make it start. I let the power run down and then tried again, still the same. Example in my seiko i wind the crown 3-4 times and it starts ticking while this datejust takes atleast 30 + windings to start. Is this normal? If not what should i do? I have spent a lot to satiafy my desire and this makes me a bit nervous. Thanks guys
