Graham 2SAAC.B04A wrist watches news:
Was winding my 16203 one morning, as usual about every other morning or so, and it went slack and quit running. Sent to NY RSC and about 5 wks later got watch back as new. I mean it was as new, for 590.00 of course. However I still have to wind it every other or third day as before. I wear it every day all day and take it off at nite. Is it normal to have to do this. Bought a Seiko auto in Singapore in 1968 and finally quit wearing it 20 yrs later because I was sick of it and never wound it. Sorry for long post but I thought auto was auto.
This is my first wtf post. I've been a member (lurker) for a few months, but am finally looking into my second 'good' watch purchase (first is a Tag Heuer Link Automatic day-date two tone). I'm considering the purchase of a new Super Avenger, to the point that I've been talking with my local AD about it. As it stands, they're willing to do 20% off MSRP on the watch and any accessories. I'm planning on purchasing it with the professional bracelet, but also want to purchase the deployment buckle and a leather strap. I guess I really have two questions. Is 20% off the watch and accessories good deal? Is it worth looking other places for a better deal on the accessories? Thanks for your help.John
Hi everyoneSince this is an international site I thought I'd ask if any of you are from, used to live in or know much about Nova Scotia?I have an offer of a job there and it would mean moving from the UK to take up residence there. What could I expect? What's the situation with watch dealers there? If I do end up going I may decide to sell my new JLC Master RDM to raise extra funds for the move and setting up home there. I'd still have a nice watch but may limit it to a single diver type which may be more up to every day use.If I moved to NS it would be in a rural community (Nr Pictou county?)and I don't think I'd be able to justify a watch simply for dress use!Any advice or opinions?Cheers,Mac.
