Those of us who coveted the limited edition, super-expensive Seiko Spacewalk watch have a new hope. Check out the Seiko Prospex Landmaster Alpinist SBDB007 and SBDB005. The Spacewalk was beautiful and desirable, but extremely expensive at $28,000 for the consumer version. It was Seiko's answer to the space travel watch, and it was certainly tested in space.Now comes a new Spring Drive based watch that is almost like a little brother to the Spacewalk. do odd-sized lug width require wider or narrower straps?
*ahem*luminox*ahem* I've seen their lugs widths listing all over the place (23.5, 21.5, 23, 19, etc.), but never in the standard widths used by most other manufacturers. What is the recommended NATO strap width for a loomy with lugs that measure 22.5 or 23mm? Would you use a 22mm, or a 24mm strap? I've heard erring on the slimmer side can put too much stress on the lugs, but wouldn't the band simply not fit if you err on a wider strap?

Spineless...came away with another watch instead
Hi for those who were kind enough to read and repond to my previous thread about me being frustrated with Omega not delivering my ordered speedmaster. Well today I went to my AD to cancel the order and was then going to purchase this watch from a Boutique In London (I guess this is what Omega wants us all to do)But the manager at My AD promised me every effort would be made by them with phone calls every other day to Omega chasing this as they did not want to lose my money or business. He was very convincing.... so much so that I left with a new watch with nice discount. It felt perfect for me and looks great on. It is the 2012 Olympic Aqua terra, Great dial in a very unusual blue. I enclose an Omega photo of it until I have chance to post wrist shots, (This watch looks so much better in the flesh) hopefully at the same time I can post the Speedy photos as well.

I know this has been discussed in great detail here... but I am curious if anyone owns both the Day Date II & Day Date 40, and can provide some good comparison images or maybe even a side by side video. I am looking to make this purchase within the next 6 months or so, so no rush... another reason why I don¡¯t want to go into let¡¯s say tourneau or wherever and be pressured or give false hope to the sales people that I am looking to make an immediate jump!
