WellI've never purchased a watch for more than $300 (I have some really nice pieces but I've never spent much). I think I want to start saving for a new watch but I want it to be one that I can wear every day of my life. I don't know if I want a big diver or a dress watch or something in between. I always talk about how much I love Maurice Lacroix watches but sadly I don't see many of them purchased.I have a growing vintage collection but I think modern sizes fit my abnormally large arms. I think I would like to spend less than $2000 (used is an option).What I've been looking at is a brand that has good recognition and is renowned for high quality, and accuracy. I think in this price range I should have a chronometer certified watch. Ordered a watch from a company in New York City. I live in Southern New Jersey about 15 minutes outside Philadelphia. Look at the circuitous route Fedex is using to deliver it:It went south past me hitting 4 states on the way, then west, then back north where it currently sits in Allentown, PA. For those of you who aren't familiar with the area's geography, the starting point is a 1.5 hour drive from me and Allentown is over 2 hours. The watch has traveled more than 5 hours of actual road time as of now and it needs to go 2 more to make it to the local Fedex place in the town next to me. Friggin' stupid, isn't it?
