Does anyone know if Omega plans on bringing back the sunburst dials for their Aqua Terra lineup? I've been scouting around for a new purchase for the past few weeks. I have my choices narrowed down and Omega is, of course, always in the running. I'm just not sure how I feel about the teak dials. They look ok in photos but I haven't had a chance to check one out first hand. What do you guys think? How do you like your teak dials? Aesthetically, any thoughts on how they compare to the previous sunburst dials (I'm partial to blue dials.....this month anyway)? I always liked how the sunburst dials catch the light, just wondering if the teaks have the same appeal.

i was doing a little shopping today and talked the wife into stopping into a store that had some nice watches.saw the oris display and when the salesman came up i asked to see the Artelier Complication..beautiful looking watch, nice deployant strap and like nothing else in my simple collection....list price $1495.00 - asked for discount and they offered 25% right away bringing it to $1122.00.if anyone has any experience with this watch or the Oris 581, base ETA 2688/2671 movement i would appreciate any feedback.thanks
It's a Watchco SM300! Actually not Watchco proper, because I built it myself. I had a 565 calibre in a completely buggered Geneve; the movement was good, but the case and dial were beyond repair. So a quick order of parts and a trip to my watchmaker later, I have a shiny new SM300. Sure it is a franken, but I love it. It's gotten a lot of attention at work too (I work in the watch industry).
