Chopard Chopard 19855 wrist watches news:
Niall is a new watch company based out of Kansas City, Missouri, here in the USA, and is part of an emerging trend of micro timepiece makers in the US that seem to be popping up all over the place. I have a feeling that much of this is an extension of the "Shinola-effect," a term I just came up with to describe how entrepreneurial types in America are seeking to get a portion of the luxury watch market by leveraging a "home grown" angle to watch making. The fallacy, of course, is that the majority of these watch companies in the US don't actually produce anything in the US. There are exceptions of course, and from what I can see, a lot of efforts are being made so that more and more watch parts can be sourced from American companies. A point of distinction that Niall is trying to make is just how much of each of their Niall One model watches come from American suppliers. The link above goes to a map on the Niall website that claims to pinpoint the places where the various components for

I went into my Oris AD this afternoon to ask if & when they would be stocking the ProDiver (with a hope of getting some good pics to post here). They said that they wouldn't be getting the ProDiver in, since they will not be stocking any Oris watches any more .So that means no Oris dealer anywhere remotely near me.This will make it nigh impossible to keep an eye on Oris models (nothing compares to seeing them up close at a B&M dealer). So I am now wondering if I should be moderating this forum. I will talk to the other mods/admins and see what the concensus is.Even though this is a relatively 'quiet' forum right now, I still believe it should have the best support possible - we owe nothing less to the Oris owners at WTF.
Killing time yesterday, I went to my local Jerod's. When the sales guy came up, I asked what the latest news was on the BP. He was totally clueless. He got the acting Manager and He didn't know because the regional Bulova Sales Rep. hasn't been seen for nearly 5 MONTHS!...o-o-o-kay...and across the street I go to the mega-mall. Same question in all 6 of the jewelry stores there. The girl in the first one started in on a standard pre-sales pitch and had to be reminded it hasn't been released yet. The second one started zoning out when she knew I didn't represent an immediate sales opportunity to her. The most info came from the third store. This salesman didn't know what I was talking about until I used the phrase "world's most accurate watch/sweep second hand". And the ONLY reason he knew was because he had read about it in one of the watch magazines a few days ago. And they won't sell any until approval comes from that chain's Corporate HQ. Approval usually takes about 12 months. The
