Suunto recently introduced an entry level dive computer that they're calling the D4. It's not as complex as either the D9 or the Vyper we covered previously; rather, Suunto describes it as "the introductory model in the Suunto diving line". When you're talking about Suunto, however, even "introductory" means an astounding number of features for both SCUBA divers, and free divers.

Hi i'm looking to purchase my first vintage piece and I want a classic dive watch for a budget of up to USD1000 with less being better if possibleIt doesn't have to be something with an amazing brand or history i just want something that's a bit different and a good solid watch (maybe a brand that is no longer around would fit well as this would be different)...I want a classic divers look like all the classics but something you wouldn't expect to see often.Any suggestions on what to look out for and pointers to get me going in the right direction within the budget?Thanks!

I do not own a Patek, but would love to one day. I wondered if people herein cared about this heartwarming story... Neil had a bag fall off a bike years ago, guy left him a voicemail saying he found it roadside.. Neil erased the message accidentally.. years went by.. the guy's wife called again, but this time called a guy in neil's address book (recovered).. and that guy called Neil..I think the piece is a Patek Callatrava, gorgeous watch, pictured in the article. .neilpeart.net/index.php/s...acle-colorado/Miracle in Colorado

Explorer vs. Oyster Perpetual
I will soon be reaching into my wallet to purchase my first Rolex. I'm interested in the Explorer #214270 and the Oyster Perpetual #116000. I have a few questions. Do all authorized dealers in the US have the same price? My local dealer quoted $4,750 (Oyster) and $5,700 (Explorer). Second question--would one of these watches retain it's value better than the other? Any comments on either (or both) watches would be appreciated. Thanks
