New Richard Lange Zero Restart “Referenzuhr”
Lange’s Richard Lange family of timepieces is dedicated to the scientific aspects of horology with a focus on precise timekeeping. With resettable subsidiary seconds, the Richard Lange ¡°Referenzuhr¡± carries on a tradition dating to the early 19th century. Actuating the push piece at 2 o’clock instantly resets the seconds hand to zero, where it remains so long as the push piece is depressed, while the movement keeps running. This sleight of hand (pun intended) is achieved via a vertical clutch that reengages when the push piece is released, restarting the seconds hand instantly. This complication facilitates synchronising watches and clocks at different locations: the actuation of the push piece synchronises the seconds hand of the instrument with that of a reference clock exactly when its hand passes the 60-seconds mark (¡°zero¡±). Seiko 7019-7110 -- Restoration Process
Hi everybody, I wanted to share with you guys this article I wrote about a new watch I have restored. Today I'm a little lazy to write in English, and don't have much time to upload all the pictures, so I'll give you the link of the article on my blog, where you'll find all the pictures I took from the entire restoration process (all of them can be viewed in high resolution.) What to do?
Today at a luncheon, a group of friends gave me a very nice Citizen Eco-Drive Calibre 8700 watch, engraved with some personal good wishes.It was quite an honor.The watch comes with a CD and an instruction booklet and a five year warranty.There is one problem however, that has me stumped.I can't get the crown to pull out, no matter how hard I try and I've been trying all day.As you know, this is an essential operation.I have an email in to the lady of our group who coordinated the event for information regarding the seller, so that I can get it serviced if it needs it.But, until I get a response, does anybody know whether or not I'm doing something wrong (it seems like a simple enough task and I'm not new to watches), or have any of you ever experienced such a problem.

Buying A 44mm Offshore
Hello TRF-ers! I'm really considering to buy a new 44mm Offshore soon. My choice is either the 26400SO or 26400IO. I know there's been a couple of thread comparing these two watches, but I'm sincerely confused. My local AD has a new 26400SO which I was really surprised of, so I'm buying new. From what I see most of you prefer the 44mm Ti, but I haven't seen it in real life. And I'm afraid that the dark grey combo makes my 42mm Vampire a bit redundant because of the black/dark grey and red color scheme. On the other hand, I just saw the 26400SO and I think it looks awesome . Let me know what which one you think I should choose . And how much should I pay for the 26400SO if I want to buy it? And since I've seen the Elephant a few times, how does the grey color of 26400IO looks like compared to the Elephant? I uploaded the pic of 26400SO on my wrist and my two-watch collection
