Chopard 283582-5001 wrist watches news:
Can't mention the seller or provide a link, but if interested you may find a 1955 Storm King III being auctioned online.I quote, "The silver, butler finish enamel dial is in excellent condition – professionally restored to its original status. It features ...a 60 second recessed gold “dot” outer track ......."As we have seen before with this seller, the dial IS NOT restored to its original status. As is always the case with this style of minutes track, the original gold "dots" have been removed as part of the dial refinishing processing, robbing the watch of one its most attractive features. To say "recessed gold dot outer track" is a nonsense. There are no gold dots present, only the dimples where they used to be.I have absolutely no doubt that this watch will sell for a high price. His always do. But may I suggest you only pursue it if you just don't care about originality. Unless you have a NOS (or good quality used) Storm King III dial laying around this wat
The gauntlet was thrown (click HERE for the start of the banter), and now you get to vote: which of these two watches is better looking?:1) Omega Constellation2) Hamilton CoronadoWe're only voting on the watch head's design and visual appeal - not the strap, not the composition or quality of the picture, and not the condition either one is in (although they're both in equally good shape). Okay, let the games begin! The poll will close in 2 weeks.
A week or two ago I picked up an AP Bands nice matte black crock strap for my diver. It was great and I loved the change in look, no regrets, but I just switched back to the rubber strap. Why?It is just so amazingly comfortable!! Nothing else like it. I also missed the two channel lines coming off the links at the head of the watch. Subtle, not noticeable when you are used to it, but the detail is missed when its not there. Love my diver
Hello everybody, I'm new to this forum although I¡¯ve ventured into mechanical watches a few years ago. Would like to share with you this Ladies Aqua Terra model since I¡¯ve not seen it being posted elsewhere. It's an anniversary present for my lovely wife. We received it 3 weeks ago. IMO it is elegant and stunning but I leave it to you to decide with the photos. At 34mm it is perfectly sized for ladies, not too big or too small. Not that thick either. It has the 8520 Omega Co-Axial movement which is very stable and reliable (I¡¯ve monitored it¡¯s performance and it gains about 2s daily without wearing on a fully wound crown and without any watch winder, while it gains less than 0.5s on days that my wife is wearing it). Could not have asked for more. The crown, bezel and the hands are YG. Transparent caseback with 150m waterproofness.By the way, I did not know that the watch also came with a card certifying the quality of the diamonds. It stated IF to VVS, which is an added bonus for a w
Hi to all, Been searching but can't get a definitive answer. My oyster bracelet for my K series 16710 with lug holes and SEL is a perfect fit on my wrist. Even had a permanent link removed to get it just right. Now I'm wondering whether it can be used on my 116710LN. The perfect fit plus the brushed links are pushing me towards it esp as it not being used for now cos I just got a jubilee bracelet to use on my 16710. And if it's possible then what tool is the best to use for the 116710 bracelet removal. Thanks in advance!
