- I bought this watch as a gift and almost a month later it broke. The dials never worked correctly and it is only covered by the manufacturer's warranty if you purchase it from a certified dealer.

Chopard 27/8238-23 wrist watches news:
When we talk about value, one region of the world always comes to mind; Germany. German-made watches continually offer incredible build quality, remarkable tech and even in-house movements all at fair prices. Not cheap, but fair. The brands, which are typically not available at retail, usually command prices that take a commitment, but for watches that deliver far beyond what their Swiss counterparts would. From Archimede to Sinn, Damasko to Nomos, Stowa to Junghans, there isn't a brand that manufactures in Germany that has disappointed us. Today, we are going to take a look at a brand that is new to worn&wound, but has been in existence for over 100 years, Hanhart.Founded by Willy Hanhart in 1882, the brand was originally based in Switzerland and then moved to Germany. In 1924 Hanhart created the first affordable mechanical stopwatch for use in track and field. In fact, they to this day, produce many varieties of mechanical stopwatches, including split-seconds and flybacks. In 193
One place lists the model as:SNT001P Seiko Le Grand Sport Retrograde Day Date Watch SNT001and the specs say it has a sapphire crystal.Another site lists it as SNT001, but doesn't include the "P", and says it has a hardlex crystal. They look identical to me, but the place that lists it as a "P" with sapphire crystal has a $25 shipping charge, and the other has free shipping.Several other sites list it without the "P" and say it has a sapphire crystal also. Unfortunately, the lowest price overall is the one that says hardlex, but the price difference isn't much. So, any insight into possible differences?
Just purchased this watch from Tim (Brit78). Love it! Anybody else have this watch want to share their thoughts and love for it? I will post a picture soon. Can't wait to wear this watch at work! Stay Safe.-Mike
FedEx delivered on time. Lots of photos have been posted with lots of info. I hope to impart something different.First, here's the commemorative box:Then opened with plastic in place:And the commemorative plate:The case back:Now some points of interest (at least to me) . . .Mine is numbered 16## which makes me wonder if Omega started with 0001. Somehow I doubt that 1600+ have been produced. More importantly, I put my micrometer to the FOIS and found that the diameter of the caseback and bezel are the same as the standard Speedy Pro. The sapphire halo makes it difficult to accurately measure the diameter of the dial but the measurements from the outside end of the 9:00 marker to the outside end of the 3:00 marker appear to be the same. That makes me think the dial of FOIS would fit the standard Speedy Pro.And lastly, I want to thank my longtime FD for his persistence. He came through again as usual.
