- I love this time piece. It looks like an antique without the extravagant price tag. It is for my husband's birthday, I know he will be tickled with the watch.

Chopard 288525-3005 wrist watches news:
I know this movement has its fair share of issues and I'm pretty sure it's a re-dial but it sure is pretty. Thoughts?Screen Shot 2011-08-11 at 3.45.20 PM.jpgScreen Shot 2011-08-11 at 3.45.12 PM.jpgScreen Shot 2011-08-11 at 3.44.55 PM.jpgAny thoughts / tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,Will
Put this one on today, been more than a bit. Vietnam War-era Glycine Combat. It is dated inside the back; forgot to write it down, but I think this one is 1968. These have a neat hacking mechanism: a tiny wire pushes out at 12 o'clock to stop the second hand. Case is a Compressor, notice the cross-hatched crown.
After a few weeks of non-wear, I ran into a scare and would appreciate some insights from the movement gurus re: a 15202 I-series with the 2121 movement. My questions are:Is it possible to have an issue with this movement where it can be wound through the self-winding mechanism but NOT manually? If not, what may be the cause(s) of the manual winding mechanism to not work in isolation (i.e. rest of the watch works just fine)? Background if you have the time:Quote:
Just got the new superocean. Really like the look and feel. got the Abyss yellow dial and the rubber deployment clasp nice and sporty and comfy164.jpg
So I'm wondering about these new heavy style jubilee link bracelets, specifically for ladies watches (if that makes a difference). The links appear to be tighter and more compact- therefore are these new bracelets better at resisting the notorious jubilee stretch over time? Also for the ladies models, is there such a thing as a DJ w/ jubilee bracelet that comes in white gold and steel bracelet? Or are all of them all steel? If the WG and steel bracelets do exist, are they a relatively new introduction? Thanks ya'll!
