Chopard 384221-5003 wrist watches news:
If you fancy a watch with engraved feathers and what look like naked male mannequins, the new Angelus by Daniel Strom could be perfect for you.? This timepiece is the thematic antecedent to the previous Daniel Strom Agonium that came out about two years ago. The Agonium focused on imagery of skulls and death (I called it the ultimate goth watch), while the Angelus is about angels - yet it still feels rather Gothic.Daniel Strom hand-sculpts the design on the tonneau style case, and it is available in pretty much any luxury metal you want. Sorry, no steel or titanium models. Why? Too hard to engrave - especially titanium. Wow, what a pain that would be. However, the Angelus case is actually two sections. An inner steel barrel and an outer section which is engraved. The Angelus design aesthetic is like "serious angels." Thematically serious to the point of being a bit creepy. I mean at least the skulls on the Agonium had faces. These guys all look like posing artist's dolls, and put into
Fellow Omegians: I am proud to announce I have finally landed on the Planet Ocean. I have been eyeing this 45.5mm "wrist dominator" for a few months. Today was the day. Here's the first pic of my new PO:
Hi there,I'm very happy with my 15400, it's a stunner!Having said this, the thing has some issues that worries me. Bought it a month or so ago fresh from the AD. When I set the date only the crown seems to get stuck while turning it. Turning it slightly back and forth will solve it, but still. When I set the time, the second hand will hack, but when pushing the crown towards the case the second hand will not move. Only after i shake the watch a bit. And it runs +15sec/24h.I will wait a while to break it in, it's on rotation so I don't wear it often. I will wear it for the next month or so and wait what happens. If is doesn't get better I will sell it. I'm not going to wait 6 months for a repair on a brand new watch. Besides that, heard enough horror stories about AP's after sales.
Was selling my 5170G and had a buyer for it and was about to wrap the watch for shipping. Before the last farewell I chose to set the time to the buyer's local time. Suddenly I started to hear some rattling inside the movement, I turned the watch over and saw a piece of metal going all over the place. It appears that one screw had got loose and popped out or cut in half. What is funny (well, not really) is that I took the first picture last Saturday and kept the watch in safe until yesterday when I just took a glimpse of it and it was still running perfectly without issues. Then put it back in the safe and today it's as in the second picture. Some might think I dropped the watch or did something humiliating to it, but sure I did not.I don't know if it's a torque issue with screw or faulty piece of threaded steel or whatever, but anyways this one is going back for service, luckily still under the warranty.
Hello,Hope you are all well.Do you guys remember this thread?A gentleman whose son had passed away in an accident, whilst wearing his watch. That watch was later engraved by one of the reputable watchmakers during service.I remember reading it a few years ago, and it was quite emotional. If anyone has a link to that thread, I would really appreciate it.
