Chopard 161902-5001 wrist watches news:
hi allnew to all of this so please bear with memy partner recently purchased this watch for our wedding and we have been trying to do some research on it. unfortunately, we don't seem to be getting anywhere. the closest one that we could find was a pilot one. we are led to believe that it is dated 1945.after reading a lot of sites we then had a look for any sort of stamped id on the watch but could not find any. do we take that as a bad sign?if there is anything else that i can let you know in helping us i will be more than happy to let you know. sorry, but the quality of the photo, hopefully attached, is not of the best.any sort of info on this watch would be greatfully recieved.many thanks for reading.
Got this pre-owned beauty the other day-been looking for a while, missed one a couple of weeks ago, got lucky & snagged this one..my 1st eco-drive. I like this look....kinda Euro/military/industrial look. Old school size specs, perfect for those of us w/ smaller wrists, who like to keep things in proportion....40mm dia., 46mm case length(lug to lug), 12mm ht., 20mm lug width. A beefy & full figured watch, w/ some heft. Old school GMT look, an unbusy dial for a Citizen tool watch...very legible dial, mix of Arabic & indices, cool hands, very good lume. Real comfy "oyster" style bracelet, w/ a secure clasp w/ foldover latch. Checking w/ cell phone & tv cable box time is spot on!There were 2 model #'s, 1 w/ sapphire crystal-BJ9031-58E, 1 w/ mineral,BJ9030-58E. This had mineral, the guy I bought it from had sent it to Citizen service ctr. in L.A. & had them install a sapphire crystal, a new spring for bezel & give it a little TLC.There's some reviews on the web, (be
I'll wear this until the new Seiko Orange Monster arrives, and thanks, by the way JBH for the inspiration.
Hi allJust wanted to share a shot of this. I've seen the newer version of this and to me it doesn't look as good as this one. In my opinion this is a great beater watch and looks great. CheersAnujSent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Still in a bit of shock I needed to have my bracelet adjusted today and headed down to see my AD in the Argyll Arcade, Buchanan St. Glasgow. There 'right at the entrance' was a new 'Omega Boutique' under construction - Prime position - Wow.That was the first shock.Second shock was when I went into my AD, Laing's Glasgow, to find out that they no longer carried the brand. Plenty of Rolex, Cartier, IWC, TAG etc but not an Omega on site. There are currently still two other Omega dealers in Glasgow, Watches of Switzerland and Mappin & Webb, but for how much longer? I looked in the window of WOS and it looked like something out of the dark ages. Boring, dull and out of date.Well done Omega Lets get this brand positioned where it should be in the market place and bring us into the exciting modern world that Omega deserves to be part of. Goodbye to boring WOS - Welcome 'Omega Glasgow Boutique'The new boutique build is in the early stages but I for one can't wait.Pictures later.
