I own a pair of this watch - one in white gold & one in yellow gold, 192 grams and 186 grams. They are equipped with the best Tuning Fork/StimmGabel Movement Beta 21 which is accurate within 5 sec per months - however Omegaz' MegaQuartz 2400 (marine chronometer) was normally accurate within 0,4 sec per month.iwcforum/Articles/200...naissance.htmliwc/museum/tour-en.asp I don't know if the link to the IWC museum i working, but according to the info, it has been made in a limited serie of 600 watches.What I do not know if these Da Vincis were made in a total of 600 or if there were 600 yellow gold ones. That felt like the longest drive home ever! But this is what I got home to:Whoa, that's a bigger box than I expected.and now I see why - look at the nice wooden box and all the trimmings inside:I had no idea what the list price was until now. Believe me when I say it's a good time to buy watches like this on the pre-owned market.Okay, enough fooling around.It winds like butter, feels almost like it isn't there, and looks better than I expected it to. A very light polish (and I mean only a touch or two with a Cape Cod cloth at most) and a quick check to make sure the movement is good to go and this'll be a regular in the rotation. New to me Speedmaster Moon watch very soon
I should be getting a near mint Speedmaster 3570.50 next week. I'm excited. I have always like this watch, but never got around to getting one. I guess with the Apollo XI anniversary last month and I'm reading a great book right now, Moon Shot, it put me over the edge.Pics to follow when it arrives.
