I found out a little information last week when I was in the Bahamas about Rolex pricing. We have been taking a family trip there for the last 4 years and have bought several watches.I was lucky enough to finally get the DSSD before the price increase, which was at a price of $8,530, the lowest price I have seen anyone get on a DSSD. The new price is $8,790. Thank you for all your reviews and pictures, the watch was exactly what I was expecting, I am really enjoying it as part of my collection.I have always known that there "sticker" price on almost all models were about 5 or so % less than the US. But here is what I found interesting.There price increase always occurs 15 days after it is announced in the US. Also, for the first time the "hard to get model", SS Daytona, Green Crystal Milgauss, DSSD are now actually sold lower than the US price. Your opinion of Michelle watches (or what should I get my GF)
Hello all, I am in the market for a watch for my GF. My budget is sub-$1k, but I would rather spend closer to $750. I have racked my brain and I think I may pull the trigger on a Michelle watch. They seem elegant, simple, and timeless. My GF doesn't own a watch (that I can tell) and has expressed to me that she would like one to wear. This watch would be her "daily" so it would need to dress up and down. Of course I would love to upgrade her immediately to an Omega or Tag, as I think they are great, but it is not the time and not in the budget. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. More than 3 automatics?
For those with more than 3 automatics (and don't use a watch winder) how often to you wind the watches that don't see wrist time daily? I feel bad letting them wind all the way down, like watching something I care about die, so I rotate them every other day to keep them going. It's okay for now, but as I add more autos, some of them will have to receive attention later than sooner.
