Hermes Clipper Automatic Chronograph Watch For 2010
As a man, my favorite collection of watches from Hermes has always been the Clipper. It has evolved a bit over the years, but has always been a very tasteful sport watches from a well-regarded luxury brand. I've always been drawn to Clipper watches not because of the Hermes name, but because of the design. They have always reminded me of instruments on fine ships. What's the dumbest thing you've seen?
I've been wandering several auction and outright purchase sites lately and noticed more than a few "solid" gold watches being offered that have the, shall I say, cheapest, cheesiest, most ridiculous, watch bands attached. In my mind, if I was selling a solid gold watch, I'd want to present it in the most positive manner possible, especially when asking "premium money" for it.To me, it's like sticking a Volkswagen emblem on a Ferrari, or Rolls Royce etc. Put the old Speidel on a Timex (sorry Timex collectors) What's some of the "just dumb" stuff you've seen?

Hopefully you will be able to empathise....When I first went from omega (SMP) to rolex (sub date) I felt I'd just taken a step into a bigger world. I had no idea then, that I'd have the bug bite me so hard. Eventually, after about 6 years - I have traversed pretty much the whole collection. In some cases with several revisited references. Where I ended up was in no way even on the radar when I started. I was obsessed with the sub. Now I don't even have one. Just a c500Will it be the same with the patek? Just got a 5711.... But where might it go from here??Is there a predicted route within patek? Or from patek?
